Two pilots wed in wine country

Only 5% of commercial pilots are female and Kate is one of them. I have been proud to call her my friend for 32 years (how many can say their friendship goes all the way back to preschool!?) and watch her break the glass ceiling not just for women in aviation but for all of us. She met her now-husband Eric in the cockpit (is that not an aviation fairytale?) and her love of flight was woven into so many details of her wedding (like guests throwing paper airplanes instead of rice and Delta coloring books for kiddos). And it all took place on a gorgeous vineyard in Sonoma.
