The case for a winter wedding

Chicago and cats. A shared hometown and fierce love of our felines immediately bonded me to Agnes at our initial coffee date. Her then-fiancé Chris was out of state with the military at the time, so we FaceTimed him in and I had no doubt that these were both my people. Midwestern roots and house panthers aside, they decided to get married at the end of November (at which point winter is typically in full swing here in Alaska) which I could not have been more excited about given my love of snow. And sure enough, their wedding day was crisp and clear, complete with a blanket of white, trees covered in hoar frost and soft light that only that low winter sun can bring. Their out-of-town visitors (some of whom traveled all the way from Poland) even saw the Northern Lights dance during their stay. Talk about some serious winter magic.

Thank you, Agnes & Chris, for planning such a gorgeous winter wedding and for trusting me to capture it. It was an honor and a joy!
